April Cottage is a delightful spacious 17th century Grade II listed cottage in the heart of Drewsteignton in the Dartmoor National Park. The cottage has been beautifully and sympathetically renovated by its owners to make it a exquisite and comfortable holiday home.
There are two stunning French inspired bedrooms - the master bedroom with king size bed, beamed ceiling and antique French furniture and the second bedroom with a zip-and-link bed which can be made into either a super-king bed or twin beds. There is a shower room with walk-in shower and a gorgeous spacious bathroom. Kate Foreman fabrics have been used throughout to give it an luxury cosy feel.
The sitting room is full of original features, including a large stone fire place. It is elegantly furnished with a comfortable plush sofa and lovely antique furniture. The country style kitchen is well equipped and there is also a separate dining room.
The Local Area
Drewsteignton is a lovely tranquil and unspoilt Dartmoor village which still has its own shop and traditional pub. It is an ideal base for walking, exploring the moors a surrounding valleys as well as cycling and horse riding over miles of stunning beautiful open moorland. There are plenty of other attractions in the area including Fingle Bridge, Castle Drogo, Bovey Castle, Fernworthy Reservoir and Kestor Rock. The pretty bustling stannary town of Chagford is also close buy.
There is a great choice of restaurants, tearooms, traditional pubs and shops nearby, including Rue des Fontenelles, the owners of April Cottage's own antique shop in Chagford.
